The story of Kahaani 2 is totally different from that of Kahaani and has nothing to do with his first part. So, first of all, it can not be considered a sequel. Moreover, the reversals in the film will force you to remember Kahaani as you can face a few old characters turning in this movie, especially if we are talking about the second inspector outside Parambrata. But this film has everything you would expect from a movie by Sujoy Ghosh.
Before you keep it as the direction part, it is simply brilliant also Kahaani. The story was narrated and developed magnificently to the end with each of the end of the adjacent threads of the second half. The first half may be a bit blurry and hard to remember but as the movie moves towards its end that get every single plot hitting in your head with all your jaws dropped and the body freezes in the seats.
Kahaani 2 actors have completely justified their characters with Vidya Balan trying two roles will definitely blow your mind. Arjun Rampal played wonderfully well with other supporting actors from Kharaj Mukherjee, Tota Roy Chowdhury, etc. giving each part of their best sequence sequence. Plus, what add-on to the brilliant set is the bottom score. Music has always played a big role in Bollywood movies and when it comes to suspense films, they can be heart and soul, no doubt.
Well, Clinton did a fabulous job with adding soul to Kahaani 2 which makes it more intriguing and watchable. The cinematography is remarkable with the edition of the whole film has simply spices spiced which makes it look excellent on the shelf. With a word in his head, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh is a MUST WATCH.
